Cheap idea for basin cabinet!

Renovating and finding custom-fit basin cabinet expensive? Here's a cheap and useful idea for a basin cabinet that will function the same way as a custom fit basin cabinet at only 1/6 of the original cost!

A regular kitchen custom made basin cabinet costs around $400sgd at the cheapest. That's rate when I was renovating our house. And its the cheapest we can get from our contractor already.

Then we went to Ikea to do some shopping for furniture, and thought of an idea.
We bought this (Ikea, $59) and decided to put underneath our square basin. The sink pipe was too low for this bathroom storage, so we decided to take out 2 panels on the top. And we slide it in.
Here's how it looks with lots of storage space:

We did this for both basins. So this Ikea was $69, which saved us $331.

Note: I'm not sure if this storage is waterproof. So it will be better if you have a bathroom sink that doesn't often touch water with bathing.

Alternatively, you can use even cheaper shelves like those I bought at JAPAN HOME for only $5.50. Its actually a 3-tier shoes shelving. And I painted a layer of waterproof varnish on it.
Here's how it looks like when its done up and put under the sink: -

This second idea saved me $395! The varnish I already have. So I don't have to pay for the varnish, which costs around $10 - $20 to buy.

I hope this idea can save you money too! :)
